The transition to spring generates great galas

THE WOODLANDS, TX – As we finally recover from the financially and emotionally draining months of the holiday season, it’s a good time to do some spiritual spring cleaning. Several local non-profit organizations hold annual galas at this time of year and could benefit from your support. Here’s a sampling of a few that are on Woodlands Online’s radar; all are listed in our calendar of events.

Pavilion Partners – 22nd Annual Dinner and Wine Auction to Benefit Fine Arts Scholarship
Enjoy an evening of fine wine, provided by Flora Springs Napa Valley Estate, a delicious dinner provided by Fleming’s Steakhouse and Wine Bar, and good company, followed by a live auction and a array of auctions that will appeal to wine connoisseurs of all skill levels. Proceeds from the wine dinner benefit the Pavilion Partners Fine Arts Scholarship Program. Since its inception, the scholarship program has provided over $1.5 million in fine arts scholarships.

March 30
Lunch at Truluck – A fundraiser for OUI aux jeunes
Join the staff of this amazing local nonprofit for a delicious breakfast at Truluck. Your purchase of a $20 ticket for the event provides 6 meals for children at their shelter.

April 1
Interfaith of The Woodlands – Woodlands Excellence Celebration Gala
After some delay, the Woodlands Celebration of Excellence is finally ready to honor our local heroes in the traditional, grand presentation they deserve after decades of service to our community. Taking place at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, 1601 Lake Robbins, Dr. George P. Mitchell inducted the First Class of Hometown Heroes in 1999, as part of The Woodlands 25th Anniversary Celebration. Since then, 139 individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations have received this honor.

April 2
Montgomery County Food Bank – One for the Records – Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope Gala
The Montgomery County Food Bank hosts its annual Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope Gala presented by the Woodforest National Bank at the Woodlands Resort & Conference Center. Proceeds from the premier fundraising event will benefit Montgomery County Food Bank programs and the thousands of food-insecure children, families and seniors it serves. Every dollar raised will provide five meals to those in need in Montgomery County. The theme for the 2022 gala is “One for Records”, highlighting the record-breaking work of the food bank, its volunteers and community partners in 2020 and 2021. In 2020 alone, the food bank served more than 11 million meals to an average of 65,000 people per month. The 2020 and 2021 Montgomery County Food Bank Galas did not take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Habitat for Humanity Building Hope Gala 2022
Please join us for the annual Building Hope Gala presented by LGI Homes at 6:30 p.m. at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. With the Shirelle Chimenti and Kelsey Casey chairs, you’ll have an enchanted evening: a celebration of home, friends and the future. They are delighted to honor the dedication of Lisa and Fred Koetting and the Red Hat Crew for this event.

Hope Beyond Bridges – Gala Glamping in the Vineyards
Get ready for an elegant evening of wine and food at the 3rd Annual Glamping in the Vineyards Gala. Join them as they transform Church Project into Napa Valley Vineyard, celebrate their volunteers, and celebrate the lives of those they have helped on the streets. Joining them this year as VIP hosts will be 2021 Miss Texas USA Victoria Hinojosa, 2020 Ninja Warrior Champion Daniel Gil and live performance artist Shen Shen.
