With hi-tech touches, you’ll get an unprecedented view of the lavishly decorated homes on the 54th Annual Pasadena Holiday Look-In.
Re-offered online amid the lingering pandemic, the home visit is a local tradition that you can watch on repeat from December 4 to January 7.
Presented by the Women’s Committee of the Pasadena Symphony Orchestra, the tour will feature four grand mansions dressed in their finest party attire and embellished by Pasadena’s floral designers.
There will also be a virtual boutique as well as an in-person boutique from 9:30 am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday December 4 and 5 at the Scottish Rite Cathedral Auditorium, 150 N. Madison Ave., Pasadena. Entrance to the store is free.
Sue Shieff, co-chair of the event, said she enjoys getting to know the owners and watching florists use their artistry to transform their homes for the holidays.
âWe also like the one-stop shop of the 16 vendors in the store,â she said. “It’s so happy and we could use some more this year.”
Featured homes include:
âA Regency Ranch home;
âThe 115-year-old Robinson House;
âA mid-century modern house from 1948; and
âAn English country house from 1927.
Tickets cost $ 25 and donations are welcome. Proceeds will benefit the Pasadena Symphony’s annual concert series as well as educational and community engagement programs. All donations are tax deductible.
Drone videos, indoor videos and close-up photos will give viewers a greater reach of the virtual experience, which is narrated by Marlene Konnar and features holiday music performed by the Youth Symphony Orchestra. from Pasadena.
